A New Era in Bolivia

Bolivia

The team in Sucre has recently spelled out the word "new" in many different ways.

Noelia is five years old. Open and exuberant, she runs up to a team member and only wants one thing - her attention. She is one of four new children in the Transformation House. Previously, she had lived in a hut with her great-grandmother and her brother, who is just one year older. Both witnessed many violent situations. They themselves were often just able to hide until the worst was over. It's sad, but telling: since Noelia has been living in the Transformation House, she hasn't asked about her mother once.
Noelia's story is one of many.

She and her brother are happy that they are now put to bed and get something to eat every day. They express their gratitude in many different ways. The siblings visibly enjoy having arrived in a real home and experiencing the security and reliability of caregivers and circumstances. This is the first step towards their own lives becoming more stable.

In addition to Noelia and her brother, who were able to move into the Tranformation House in November, two other girls in the same age group were also taken in.

Graduating with Flying Colors

In December 2023, three young adults from the Transformation House successfully completed their schooling. What many in Europe take for granted is something special for each of our children and young people.

They are often the first in their families to complete school at all. Two of the current school graduates were even honored as the best of their year. On reaching these goals, it was time for the graduates to say goodbye at the Transformation House.
Some of them are doing an orientation year at other project locations of TOS Ministries International, others have started university - an exciting time.

Ready for Professional Life

Arabella has also successfully mastered another stage. She graduated from school two years ago and has been working at the Transformation House ever since. At the same time, she completed an apprenticeship at a fashion and tailoring school. To crown her training, Arabella was now able to publicly present a gala dress designed and tailored by her. This took place at a fashion show on the occasion of her graduation ceremony.

A new Era

With this change, the previously youngest teenagers have suddenly become the oldest in the Transformation House. All the routines and activities have changed dramatically as a result. The children's playground is once again very busy, and the playrooms are always full of cheerful laughter. As soon as the younger children have settled in well, more children can be admitted. The authorities have already asked our team to provide a home for new arrivals at the Transformation House.

We say: Welcome!
