Alma’s story is a powerful example of the transformation that children undergo in our projects.

When she first arrived at the Day Care Center in Jujuy, northern Argentina, she was very anxious, stubborn, and had difficulty speaking. But she loved to dance. Her mother was overprotective and distrustful.

At the Day Care Center, we were able to help her so that her language development progressed normally—today she speaks quite clearly.
When she moved on to kindergarten, she was able to fit in and hold her own in the group very independently. Her mother is very grateful for all the support she has received.
