My name is Kolja. For fifteen years, I was addicted to drugs, and my life spiraled completely out of control. Neither hospital stays nor time in prison could change anything.  
Then I met a team member from the Rehab Center who had herself overcome addiction. She invited me to the Rehab Center. It was there that I became free from drugs.  

The therapy is led by Christians and based on the Bible. There, I learned values that completely rebuilt my life: honesty, responsibility, and reliability. These principles continue to guide me to this day and have transformed my life from the ground up. 

My name is Sasha, I’m 50 years old, and many years of my life were marked by a destructive drug addiction. For years, I fought against it in vain. I was in prison, sought help time and again at the hospital—yet I remained without hope, without prospects, without a real way out.  

The first real ray of hope came when friends who had successfully completed rehabilitation visited me. I decided to follow the same path and successfully completed therapy in 2004. I’ve been drug-free ever since. 

In rehab, I realized that my life was built on self-deception. I had to learn to build genuine relationships, to be honest, and to take responsibility—in addition to the support from the staff at the rehab center, prayer and the Bible were crucial in helping me do this. 

After completing rehab, Kolja and Sasha started a business and have been working as self-employed builders ever since. Because of their own experiences, they are always happy to take on projects at the Rehab Center.  

They not only work on repairs at the Rehab Center, but they also enjoy looking after the rehab patients. As they work alongside them, they listen and share their experiences. They want to support the people there who are going through challenges similar to those they themselves once faced. They know how difficult addiction can be—and how important understanding, patience, and genuine support are. 

The support Sascha and Kolja received during their therapy helped them gain stability and a sense of purpose, step by step. Today, they want to share that with others.
