Our Home in the Transformation House in Lima

Peru Street Children

To move or not to move, that is the question that is currently on everyone's mind in the Transformation House in Lima, Peru.

Juan has been living here for years. His friend David moved in when he was eight years old. " For the first time in my life, I felt really accepted and welcome here," he says. Doralice was only able to attend school after she came here.
Next to these two, other children with similar stories live in the Transformation House. "This is our home. No one can imagine living anywhere else," says Juan.

But at the moment it is not certain what will happen next. The reason for this is that the landlord has to sell the building that TOS Ministries International is renting as Transformation House due to excessive debts of his own.

The directors of the Transformation House have been searching for another location for many weeks, but have not yet found anything suitable. The children themselves would prefer to keep their current home. Here they know the neighborhood well and can continue to go to their current school.

The current Transformation House has five floors and offers space for a total of 20 children. The building is in good condition and could provide a refuge for children like Juan, David and Doralice for many years to come. There is a way to make this possible if TOS Ministries International were to purchase the building.

If you would like to help TOS Ministries International buy the Transformation House in Lima, you can do so by making a donation. Any amount helps.

One thing is certain, of course, regardless of whether it is at the current location or somewhere else entirely, the Transformation House will continue to provide a home for the three of them and the other children.
